Godsman joined GAMA Global 20 years ago, where she rose through the ranks to become vice president for corporate and business development. Since her promotion to that position in 2012, GAMA has seen dramatic growth in revenue, membership, membership retention and LAMP attendance. Ed Deutschlander has been the CEO at North Star Resource Group since 2016. Ed began his career at North Star just days after college graduation. Kara Patria David-Cancio
Journalist, GMA Network
Kara Patria David-Cancio, more popularly known as Kara David, is a multi-awarded Filipino broadcast journalist. She has been a journalist for almost 30 years. Ms. David is a host and writer for the longest-running TV documentary program in the Philippines: I-Witness. She also hosts the magazine show Pinas Sarap. Prior to being a news anchor, Ms. David was a field reporter for 15 years.
Ms. David has garnered more than 20 international awards and more than 50 local awards for her outstanding work as a broadcast journalist. She has been recognized in several countries for her work and advocacy, including the George Foster Peabody Award, UNICEF Child Rights Award, Asian Television Awards, New York Festivals and a nomination at the International Emmy Awards.
On top of her outstanding work in the media, Ms. David is a professor of Journalism at the University of the Philippines. Ms. David is also the founder of Project Malasakit, Inc., a duly-recognized social service organization that gives educational scholarships to poor but deserving Filipino children.
