Godsman joined GAMA Global 20 years ago, where she rose through the ranks to become vice president for corporate and business development. In this role, she oversaw all revenue departments at the association, including Membership, LAMP, Communications and PMG Corporate Relations. Since her promotion to that position in 2012, GAMA has seen dramatic growth in revenue, membership, membership retention and LAMP attendance. In June 2014, Godsman took the helm as GAMA’s first, and youngest, female CEO.

Kara Patria David-Cancio, more popularly known as Kara David, is a multi-awarded Filipino broadcast journalist. She has been a journalist for almost 30 years. Ms. David is a host and writer for the longest-running TV documentary program in the Philippines: I-Witness. She also hosts the magazine show Pinas Sarap. Prior to being a news anchor, Ms. David was a field reporter for 15 years.  

Ms. David has garnered more than 20 international awards and more than 50 local awards for her outstanding work as a broadcast journalist. She has been recognized in several countries for her work and advocacy, including the George Foster Peabody Award, UNICEF Child Rights Award, Asian Television Awards, New York Festivals and a nomination at the International Emmy Awards. 

On top of her outstanding work in the media, Ms. David is a professor of Journalism at the University of the Philippines.  Ms. David is also the founder of Project Malasakit, Inc., a duly-recognized social service organization that gives educational scholarships to poor but deserving Filipino children. 

Alfonso “Al” Quitangon joined Sun Life as a fresh graduate in the 1990s, starting out as an underwriter before moving on to become a specialist in reinstatement operations and group insurance and then a sales trainer.

In the early 2000s, he left the insurance industry to explore opportunities as a businessman and publisher. He later became an active financial advisor and agency manager with another insurance company. He was a licensed agent, CIS, RFP, GAMA Awardee, and MDRT.

In 2010, he retuned to Sun Life after 15 years to continue his advocacy of developing professional and passionate financial advisors. This is a mission he continues to pursue today, as Sun Life’s Chief Distribution Officer.

Mr. Peter Yu currently serves as 1 st Vice President at GAMAHK and holds as a Senior District Director at AIA International Limited. His visionary leadership and deep expertise have been instrumental in shaping the strategic direction and driving success within the industry.

With 16 years of experience, Mr. Yu has consistently demonstrated his ability to lead and inspire. He has successfully guided a team of over 150 professionals. Under his leadership, the team demonstrated exceptional resilience and performance, even amid the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. From 2022 to 2025, the team achieved remarkable consecutive double-digit growth rates of 58%, 36%, and 42%, reflecting sustained excellence and strategic execution.

His recent accolades and achievements underscore his exceptional leadership, outstanding performance, and unwavering dedication to driving success within the industry.

With over 13 years of experience as a professional service representative at United Laboratories (Unilab), Shane built her foundation on excellence, consistency, and client service. In 2018, she took a leap of faith and joined Manulife, determined to grow not just as a financial advisor, but as a leader and team builder in the insurance industry. 

Her GAMA journey began when she attended the GAMA LAMP Convention in Taiwan—her very first step into a broader world of professional growth and leadership. From that point on, Shane became a consistent GAMA Awardee from 2019 to the present, joining international conventions in Las Vegas (2023) and Denver (2024), and soon again in the Philippines (2025). 

But her real success lies in how she used the GAMA principles to build leaders—not just agents. From starting as a unit head, she has mentored, developed, and promoted multiple unit heads and senior unit heads, eventually becoming a branch head in July 2020. Today, she leads a powerful team of nearly 40 leaders, fostering sustainable growth through duplication, mentorship, and continuous development. 

This team—and the culture they’ve built together—became her greatest source of strength during some of the most challenging periods of her life: the COVID-19 pandemic, and her personal health battles. Even in seasons where she needed to step back, her team’s leadership and unity carried her forward, both emotionally and financially.

Lester Angelo Reyes is a Financial Wealth Branch Manager at FWD Life with over 8 years of experience in transforming lives through financial planning.  Sa-Nga Pishayangkul is a leading expert in sales communication, team leadership, and financial planning. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Thammasat University, an Executive MBA from Kasetsart University, and completed the Senior Executive Leadership Program at Thammasat University.  

With a distinguished career in the life insurance industry, he has held several senior executive roles, including Chief Agency Officer at Allianz Ayudhya Assurance PCL. He also founded the VICTORY Group, the company’s largest agency team, which contributed over 28% of Allianz Ayudhya’s total ANP in 2024—exceeding 1 billion THB in premiums and comprising 6,820 agents nationwide.  

Today, he is a sought-after speaker, trainer, and coach in leadership and business development. His expertise is trusted by institutions such as the Stock Exchange of Thailand, Office of Industrial Economics, leading universities, state banks, and multinational companies including Unilever, Essilor Optical, and Kawasaki Motors.

 Dr. Hessam Emami is the President of GAMA Middle East and CEO of Omid Afarinan Zendegi Pasargad, with over 16 years of experience in the life insurance industry. He leads a national sales team of more than 700 advisors, issuing approximately 1,000 life insurance policies each month. 

Holding a Doctorate in Business Administration, Dr. Emami is a two-time recipient of the prestigious GAMA MAA Award (2023 and 2024), honoring his outstanding leadership in agency building and talent development. He has been a featured speaker at major industry events, including GAMA Iran Day 2024 and the BLIS Seminar in Lebanon 2023.  

A strong advocate for leadership and personal growth, he has translated seven influential books in the field from English into Persian. Dr. Emami firmly believes: “If you help others achieve their dreams, you will eventually reach your own.” 

At just 30 years old, Marko Alejandro has already made an extraordinary mark in the Philippine insurance industry. Marko joined the insurance profession at age 22—and in less than a decade, he has risen to become the most accomplished young leader in PRU Life UK. 

By 28, Marko became the fastest to build a 5,000-strong agency force in just seven years, a historic milestone that reflects his unmatched drive, discipline, and leadership. Since 2023, his group has consistently produced over ₱1 Billion in Annual Premium Equivalent (APE) every year—holding many all time high records in the company.
